Rainbow & West Indian Boas

Epicrates is a genus of boas found in lower Central America through South America as far south as Argentina, as well as in the West Indies, with ten species currently recognized. Rainbow Boas are the most common of all the Epicrates Boas in captivity and are found in Central and South America. A terrestrial species known for its iridescent sheen, nine subspecies are currently recognized, though the Colombian and the Brazilian are the most commonly available.
